History

Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.

At Tabs I built the creator program and the paid engine next to it: brief, test, kill losers early, pay for what works. Here it is the same playbook in inclusive makeup. I have not run this category, so the shade language and the claims sheet start with your team, not with me.

Why now

  • 1014

A review count already on the site

A count of 1014 reviews appears on livetinted.com. Creator video can sit beside that proof instead of starting from zero.

    Published
  • $5

    The HUESTICK® Sampler

A sampler for $5 plus a $5 off code toward a full-size Huestick is a cheap first step to point a creator video at.

    Published
  • $40+

    Free shipping threshold

FREE SHIPPING on orders $40+. The HUESTICK® Complexion Stick at $42.00 clears it on its own, so a single-product video has a clean ending.

    Published
  • TikTok

    Already tagged for the platform

The site labels the HUEBEAM® Gradient Blushing Bronzer "As seen on TikTok!". That is the format to build the roster around.

Part 4 of 15

Principles

  1. One number to protect

Cost per 1,000 views, target $1. The simulator starts at $5.74 on $10,050 and 1.8M views a month, so the gap is the work.

  2. One variable per test

Same product, same shot, one change. Ten creators at seven videos a week give 303 videos a month to read.

  3. Losers killed early

A format that misses after its first batch is dropped. The hook library keeps the lines that hold.

  4. One workspace, not scattered DMs

Briefs, claim questions, drafts and the Monday report live in one team workspace. Drafts go back in the thread.

Illustrative
  1. MarisolMon 8:30 AM

This week: HUEBEAM® Gradient Blushing Bronzer in Mojave Mirage. Bare skin, daylight, one swipe, no filter. The hook is yours. Send three takes.

  2. TaviaMon 9:10 AM

Can I call the sunscreen stick clean in my voiceover?

Use only lines on the claims sheet. Clean stays out of your voice until the brand confirms what it covers.

  3. Report botAppMon 7:00 AM

Weekly report posted: videos by format, views, cost per 1,000 views against the $1 target, two losers dropped.

  4. MarisolWed 11:45 AM

Draft back, Tavia: the swatch is cropped and the caption promises results on dark spots. Reshoot the swatch and cut that line.

  5. Tracker botAppFri 4:20 PM

Jonah's concealer video passed 100,000 views, organic only. The $50 flat bonus is logged for the month.

  6. MarisolThu 2:00 PM

Check: seven videos due per creator this week. Two creators are still short and have a reminder. All captions carry the partnership label.

The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Part 5 of 15

Formats

  1. Shade match

    Brief 01

    Shade match

    “Twenty-five shades. Here's how I picked mine.”

Bare skin, window light, three swatches on the jaw, then the pick on the face. Hold up the HUESKIN Hydrating Serum Concealer.

  2. Sunscreen on deep skin

    Brief 02

    Sunscreen on deep skin

“Watch me rub SPF 30 into deep skin”

Cheek close-up in daylight: a small amount of HUEGUARD® 3-in-1, rub in, no filter. Show the skin right after.

  3. Eye routine

    Brief 03

    Eye routine

“My under-eye routine, start to finish”

Mirror shot in the morning: SUPERHUE® Brightening Eye Cream, then Rays masks. Describe the feel, promise nothing.

  4. Gloss swatch

    Brief 04

    Gloss swatch

“Two gloss shades, tested on my lips”

Close lip shot: SOFTGLOSS Juicy Lip Gloss in Honeydew Heatwave, then Raspberry Rosé, same daylight, same take.

  5. One-stick face

    Brief 05

    One-stick face

“One stick for my whole face. Let's see.”

Bare face to finished in one take with the HUESTICK® Complexion Stick, shade named on screen, no cuts over the blend.

Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Live your hues”, “FREE SHIPPING on orders $40+”, “Sign up for SMS alerts and get 20% off your first order!”. Product names are said as printed.

Part 6 of 15

Recruiting

Four sources in

  • Shoppers who already review

Review counts on the site reach 1014. People who write reviews are the warmest source, so I would ask your team to invite the best ones.

  • TikTok makeup wearers

The site tags the HUEBEAM® bronzer "As seen on TikTok!". Creators already filming blush and bronzer on that platform are the next source.

  • Shade-range communities

Beauty creators on deep, olive and golden undertones, the same undertones the site names in its shade list.

  • Affiliate or ambassador page

I did not find an affiliate or ambassador page on the pages I read, so this roster starts from scratch.

Five filters, fewer each step

  1. 1Shade range on camera

Bare-skin footage in daylight on deep or medium/deep tones, shown before any product.

  2. 2Wears makeup for real

A profile of repeat use of gloss, blush or concealer, not only paid posts.

  3. 3Reads the claims sheet

Passes a short check on the sheet. One miss is coached, a repeat is out.

  4. 4Holds a weekly cadence

Can film seven videos a week. A test week proves it before any pay.

  5. 5Clean category record

No past posts promising skin results or dismissing sunscreen.

Part 7 of 15

Who

  • Deep-skin shade hunter

Films matching tests on deep neutral and warm undertones, swatch by swatch.

Likely product: HUESKIN Hydrating Serum Concealer

  • White-cast skeptic

Checks every SPF for white cast on camera, in daylight only.

Likely product: HUEGUARD® Daily Defense Sunscreen Set

  • Quick get-ready

Short morning videos where the whole face comes from one stick.

    Likely product: HUESTICK® Complexion Stick

  • Glow and blush lover

Layers bronzer and highlighter for night looks and shows both solo.

Likely product: HUEBEAM® Gradient Blushing Bronzer

  • Lash and eye person

Mascara and kajal tutorials, eyes first, close-up and unhurried.

Likely product: LEGACY Lash Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara

  • Gift set shopper

Gift guides and set hauls around the holidays, gloss pairs included.

Likely product: Juicy Lip Gloss Duo

Left off, every time

Always out: anyone who has promised skin results on camera, treated sunscreen as a stand-in for medical advice, or compared the brand to a rival. Category rule for makeup and SPF: only the brand's own words about skin, attributed to the brand.

Claims sheet

Approved, word for word

Quoted exactly as the brand publishes it.

  • “Live your hues”

Closing line of any video or caption.

  • “FREE SHIPPING on orders $40+”

Caption or end card, as the site writes it.

  • “Sign up for SMS alerts and get 20% off your first order!”

End card for first-time shoppers, with the wording unchanged.

  • “Sets Save over 35%”

Set and kit videos, never on single products.

  • “100% mineral SPF 30, moisturizer, and primer that hydrates, blurs, and protects—every day, everywhere.”

HUEGUARD® 3-in-1 videos, attributed to the brand.

  • “pairs two universally flattering SOFTGLOSS shades in a gift-ready set for hydrated, pillowy-soft lips all season.”

Juicy Lip Gloss Duo gift videos, attributed to the brand.

Never said

Each one with the reason it stays out.

  • This clears your hyperpigmentation for good

A promise about skin results. The brand's wording is the only wording allowed.

  • You will never burn again

A promise of sun protection beyond the brand's own sentence.

  • Dermatologist approved

Not on the claims sheet and not something the site says.

  • Better than any other sunscreen

    No comparisons with other brands.

  • Safe for every skin condition

A health claim the site does not make.

  • Guaranteed to match every shade first try

An outcome promise. Shade matching is shown, not guaranteed.

To confirm with the brand

Held until someone on the brand side signs off.

  • Shop clean

I do not know what the brand means by clean. Ask before any creator uses it in their own voice.

  • #1 selling No White Cast™ SPF

A ranking claim. Confirm it is current before any creator quotes it.

Part 10 of 15

Pay

  • Starter

    $300–600

    a month, by band

For creators new to brand work who need to prove they can hold the weekly cadence.

    Bonus at the cap: $300

  • Standard

    $500–1,000

    a month, by band

For creators who already deliver steady views on makeup or sunscreen videos.

    Bonus at the cap: $500

  • Premium

    $800–1,500

    a month, by band

For the few with a proven deep-tone beauty audience who can carry the heaviest briefs.

    Bonus at the cap: $700

  1. Under 100,000 views

    $0

The base pay covers the work.

  2. 100,000 views

    +$50 flat

    Whatever the band.

  3. 1,000,000 views

    Top-up to your cap

Bonus = band cap − base pay.

  • One bonus per creator per month: the $50 flat, whichever video crosses 100,000 views first.
  • Per video: the bonus attaches to the single video that passes 100,000 views, not to a running total.
  • Organic views only: boosted or paid views do not count toward the 100,000 threshold.
  • No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the category rule, even past 100,000 views.

Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.

The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

Simulator

At today's inputs: 1.8M views a month for $10,050, or $5.74 per 1,000 views against $1.00. To hit target, 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views.

Above the $1 target at these inputs.

To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.

Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.

The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.

Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Exit

From organic to paid

  1. Flag the winner

A video past 100,000 views, organic, with a clean claims check, goes on a shortlist.

  2. Get the rights

Ask the creator for paid use in writing before the video touches an ad account.

  3. Test it as an ad

Run it against the organic hook with one variable changed, and read the cost per 1,000 views.

  4. Scale or kill

If it holds the target, the budget grows. If not, it goes back to organic and the hook library.

From the video to the checkout

  • Send single-product videos to the product page, not the home page.
  • Use the HUESTICK® Complexion Stick at $42.00 as the example: it clears FREE SHIPPING on orders $40+.
  • Point set and kit videos to the Sets shelf, where Sets Save over 35%.
  • Point first-timers to the HUESTICK® Sampler at $5, then the $5 off code toward a full-size Huestick.
  • Send shade-unsure viewers to Find My Shade or the Routine Finder quiz.

Part 15 of 15

Category

Makeup and sunscreen: what every creator follows

Live Tinted sells makeup, skincare and SPF. These six rules keep the videos honest and the claims sheet short.

  • Quote, don't invent

Product claims come from the claims sheet only. A question about a new line goes to the claims channel before filming, not after posting.

  • Skin outcomes stay out

No promises about hyperpigmentation, texture or any skin result. Only the brand's own words, said as the brand's words.

  • Sunscreen on camera

Show the application and the skin after. Never say it replaces other protection, and never promise protection beyond the brand's sentence.

  • Real skin, real light

No filters on swatches or shade matches. Daylight or window light, bare skin first, so the shade is the shade.

  • Disclose every post

Every post carries the paid-partnership label and #livetinted. A post without the label is pulled and earns no bonus.

  • Offers as written

Quote free shipping on orders $40+, the $5 sampler and the sets line exactly as the site writes them. No invented discounts.

The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
